Matt Botting and Bryan Miller produced five RBIs on 3-for-4 hitting each for Wilmington, as Adelphi lost their final regular season home game at William J. Bonomo Memorial Field to their non-conference opponent Thursday, 7-5. Seven Wildcat starters had at least one hit in the game.

“There a good team, Wilmington, they swing the bats,” Adelphi coach Dom Scala said of the Wildcats’ offense.

The Adelphi University men’s tennis team has advanced to the NCAA Division II Championships for the third consecutive year.

Adelphi University’s golf team hosted the Tom Pecora Collegiate Invitational on Monday at the Cherry Valley Country Club. The team placed third out of five overall with three golfers placing in the top nine.

Felician College took first with a score of 617. Farmingdale State scored a 622, landing them second place. Adelphi finished with a 625. St. Josephs, with a score of 664, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, with a score of 743, placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
